Fortuna are the "Acts of God" that happen in everyday Superpower life. Fortuna events will happen before all phases except Pay Salaries.

Fortuna can create the following events

Meteor Swarm

Up to 4 territories are hit by a meteor, which may behave like a nuke or neutron bomb.

Company producing extra

A random company produces extra units. If an active Superpower owns this company (not just the territory the company is in) it will receive the extra production. The extra production will also flood the market, and force the market price down.

Company explosion

A random company will have a catastrophic accident. If an active Superpower owns this company (not just the territory the company is in) it will need to re-open the company in the next pay salaries phase. The lack of production will also affect the market, and force the market price up.

Natural Disaster

A natural disaster will happen in a territory, and some armies or navies will be wiped out.

Terrorist attack

Terrorists will attack a Superpowers resource centre, and some resource units or storage will be lost.

Publish communications

Internet activists will find secret communications of one Superpower and publish them on the internet, making them visible to all Superpowers.

Tribute from territory

One territory outside the Superpowers home territories will raise extra taxes and feed them into the treasury.

Territory rebellion

One territory outside the Superpowers home territories decide to break away from the Superpower and become an indepentant warlord.

Nuclear terrorists

Terrorists will steal nukes or nuclear material from one Superpower, and use it on a home territory of either that Superpower or another.

Espionage changes

A Superpower's spy network will be either improved or damaged.

UN research

The UN will publish lists of two resources for all Superpowers.
